Together for nature and young people

Our non-profit sustainability, conservation and education projects give children and youth in Botswana the opportunity to discover and protect their natural environment.

„We want to help Botswana's children and youth appreciate and preserve the environment that surrounds them. We focus above all on education and training to bring about sustainable changes in thinking and behaviour.“

OUR WORK in botswana

Responsible with
nature and the environment

The Knyphausen Foundation is involved in educational work for children, young people and young adults on the topics of nature conservation and sustainability in Botswana.

The aim of the foundation is to sensitize and inspire young people for their environment. The aim is to raise their awareness of the importance of nature and encourage them to take responsibility for themselves and their environment.

Our contribution

With the projects and educational measures, the foundation aims to improve the educational standard in the region in the long term and establish new professions in the field of environmental protection and education as well as strengthen local partners.

In the future, the foundation sees its goal in transporting the environmental protection and education projects that are being established in Botswana to neighbouring countries with the help of growing local multipliers, thus spreading the core idea of "people only protect what they know" among the young generation in Africa.
