Booklets
The Knyphausen Foundation produces educational materials on nature-related topics that serve as practical reference guides for children and teens in the Junior Ranger Program during their educational sessions.
Designed to be age-appropriate and in a handy pocket format, booklets on the following topics have already been published:
- Trees of Our Homeland—text and images by experts Alison & Roger Heath
- Birds of Our Homeland – Text and images by local bird expert Pete Hancock
- Animals of Our Homeland – Text and images by local wildlife expert Peter Apps
- Land of Our Homeland – Text and images by local experts Cornelius van der Post & Pete Hancock
- Yoga for Kids - Text and images by Mary-Lynn Kleynhans
- Bush of Our Homeland - Text and images by Mary-Lynn Kleynhans
The experts provide images and information free of charge, and our Junior Rangers receive the booklets at no cost.
Educational materials for children on environmental topics have not previously been available in Botswana in this form or of this quality.
The foundation’s goal is to develop a series of such booklets in a similar format and design on other environmental and country-specific topics (culture and landscape).
