Together with our cooperation partner Katja Visser from StartUp4Kids, the Knyphausen Foundation organised a conference on environmental awareness and biodiversity in Maun on 19.10.2022.

Under the motto "Biodiversity on the Edge", experts such as Okwa Sarefo, Safari Guide & Trainer at EcoTraining and Walona Burkie Sehularo, Comunity Outreach Officer at Elephants for Africa gave presentations.

Two children and their teachers from each Junior Ranger school attended, and they discussed the content of the presentations and the subsequent discussion session with the other Junior Rangers in their classes.

The focus of the conference was the topic of species conservation and the global impacts of climate change.
Invited were staff from local NGOs and officials from the Ministries of Agriculture, Environment and Education.

We are looking forward to the constructive exchange among the participants and the upcoming joint activities with the children and young people!
